Our Funding Capacity
FSOA ensures transparent and forward-looking management of grants allocated to Biosphere Reserves, amounting to approximately €750,000 per year based on the capital mobilized to date.
Our Funding Modalities
WASF will also finance other types of stakeholders through the “Small Grants” window, targeting actors involved in the conservation and/or sustainable management of biodiversity within the savannas of the WAP complex.
The programming of FSOA grants is aligned with the planning processes of the institutions managing Protected Areas (through the “Protected Areas (PA) Window”), based on their Management and Development Plans. Grant priorities are established for a defined period through a participatory process involving all stakeholders concerned with the management of the Biosphere Reserves.
WASF facilitates the implementation of the Annual Work Plans (AWPs) of the Protected Areas through a set of procedures designed to ensure security, efficiency, transparency, and relevance in the mobilization of resources, the execution of activities, the flow and use of funds, reporting, and the continuous monitoring of operations.
