A Project Fund is a form of financial assistance through which an organization or a private entity allocates or grants funds to a third party in order to support the implementation of a specific project.
The German Government, through its financial cooperation (KfW), has provided a project fund of €4,000,000, managed by FSOA, to support the Sustainable Management of Reserves Project in Northern Benin (PGDRB).
The objective of the project is to strengthen the institutional capacity of the National Center for Wildlife Reserves Management (CENAGREF) in order to improve the management of national parks, particularly in the areas of administrative and financial management, conservation activities, as well as ecological monitoring and surveillance. In addition to these project funds provided by the German Government through KfW, FSOA has also received support from the French Development Agency (AFD) and the French Global Environment Facility (FFEM). This support was formalized through a financing agreement signed on 6 April 2023 to implement the Support Project for FSOA (PASOA). The project, with a total budget of €12 million (approximately 7.9 billion XOF) over a four-year period, is structured around the following three components:
