Role of the Executive Director<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

La Direction Ex\u00e9cutive (DE), est l\u2019organe de mise en \u0153uvre de la gestion journali\u00e8re et de l\u2019ex\u00e9cution des d\u00e9cisions\/orientations du Conseil d\u2019Administration pour accomplir la mission de financement durable de la conservation de la biodiversit\u00e9, conform\u00e9ment aux outils de bonne gouvernance adopt\u00e9s.<\/span><\/p>

It prepares and submits FSOA\u2019s annual work plans for review by the Board of Directors. The Executive Director (ED) coordinates the implementation of these plans. The ED also plays a key role in the grant-making process.\nThe Executive Director prepares technical and financial implementation reports and proposes and implements corrective measures where necessary.<\/span><\/p>

La Direction ex\u00e9cutive s\u2019appuie sur une \u00e9quipe resserr\u00e9e compos\u00e9e d\u2019une Assistante administrative aupr\u00e8s du Directeur, d\u2019un Responsable administratif et financier, d\u2019un comptable, d\u2019un charg\u00e9 des op\u00e9rations ainsi que d\u2019un chauffeur \u2013 agent de liaison. Cette organisation demeurera l\u00e9g\u00e8re, la FSOA s\u2019\u00e9tant fix\u00e9 pour principe de limiter ses frais g\u00e9n\u00e9raux \u00e0 15 % maximum de son budget annuel.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Executive Director (ED) is responsible for:<\/span><\/p>

  • Preparing FSOA\u2019s annual and multi-year work plans and budgets (operations and grants), based on the financial resources allocated by the Board of Directors;<\/span><\/li><\/ul>
    • Carrying out all preparatory work for projects to be financed, including liaising with beneficiaries and consulting experts where necessary;<\/span><\/li><\/ul>
      • Actively participating in the analysis of funding requests within the Grant Allocation Committee, for which the ED serves as secretary;<\/span><\/li><\/ul>
        • Preparing, negotiating, and signing grant agreements with beneficiaries;<\/span><\/li><\/ul>
          • Conducting monitoring and evaluation activities for the grants awarded;<\/span><\/li><\/ul>
            • Consolidating and reporting monitoring and evaluation results to the Board of Directors, particularly with regard to impact analysis;<\/span><\/li><\/ul>
              • Ensuring the monitoring and evaluation of the physical implementation of projects financed by FSOA;<\/span><\/li><\/ul>
                • Maintaining relationships with beneficiaries, including monitoring eligibility conditions and overseeing technical and financial reporting on activities carried out with FSOA grants.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
